Season Statistics
The Ichabods got two solid outings from their starters as they swept Southwest Baptist Saturday afternoon at Falley Field to win the final three games in the four-game series. 
Bryan Stroth pitched a complete game in a 9-1 win in the opener and then 
Brett Sorensen went six innings in a 4-1 win in the second game.
The Ichabods improved to 5-5 and 3-1 in the conference as they prepare to take on Central Missouri Friday and Saturday on the road. SBU dropped to 3-8 and 1-3.
Game 1

Stroth tied his career high with eight strikeouts and the Ichabods opened up with six runs in the first inning as they defeated Southwest Baptist 9-1 in the first game.
Stroth threw 103 pitches as he went the distance and allowed one run off seven hits with just one walk.
Dan Egan was 3 for 3 in the game with a pair of RBI and 
Tyler Blankenship and 
Brad Rogers also got two RBI each.
With two outs and one runner on base in the bottom of the first, the Ichabods pounded out five hits to score six runs and take an early 6-0 lead. 
Cameron Kasel and Egan started the hitting with a pair of singles and then Blankenship drove them both in on a double. Rogers' double later in the inning also drove in a pair of runs.
Both teams went scoreless the next four innings and Stroth didn't allow the Bearcats a hit until the fourth inning. They led off the fifth inning with two more hits but a double play started by Blankenship at shortstop ended the inning.
Washburn scored three more times in the sixth inning on RBI singles from 
Wes Joy and Kasel and an RBI double from Egan.
Stroth allowed three hits in the seventh, including an RBI double from Ian Yates that broke the shutout, but he struck out the final batter to get the win and improve to 1-1 on the year.
Game 2

Sorensen allowed just one run off seven hits in six innings of work to lead the Ichabods to a 4-1 win and a sweep over the Bearcats in the second game.
Kasel went 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored and 
Mark Stoltz and 
Brian Gorges each had triples to help an efficient Ichabod offense that was out-hit 9-6.
Kasel led off the second inning with a double and then Stoltz' triple drove him in. 
Dane Simoneau later drove him in with a sacrifice fly to right field.
After SBU got a run in the top of the fifth the Ichabods answered with one in the bottom half when Kasel drove in 
Joe Hosey with a single. Blankenship drove in Kasel in the eighth inning to end the scoring.
Curtis Hamilton came on in relief in the seventh inning and pitched three strong innings to earn his first save. The Bearcats loaded the bases in the ninth inning on a hit, a walk and an error but Hamilton got the final out on a fielder's choice putout at second base.
Sorensen improved to 2-0 with the win.

• Stroth's other game with eight strikeouts came March 14, 2007, against Bemidji State.
• Kasel batted .667 in the four-game series with eight hits in 12 at-bats. He drove in three runs and scored five times.
