SALINA, Kan. – The Washburn men's junior varsity basketball team had a rough shooting night on Tuesday evening in a 96-61 loss to Brown Mackie College.
The Ichabods were able to keep it close until a little over halfway into the first period off of scoring efforts of
Eric Harms who posted 10 points and
Darren Spruill who finished the evening with 12 points. Brown Mackie jumped on top at about the 13 minute mark when Brown Mackie guard Stacy Whitt's gliding hook shot made its way through the net to BMC up for the remainder of the contest.
Washburn shot only 32.4 percent from the field in the loss and fell to 2-3 on the season. The Ichabods will return to action this evening when they take on Fort Scott Community College.
