GREAT BEND, Kan. --- The Washburn men's junior varsity basketball team dropped its first game of the season 80-66 against Highland Community College in its final game of the Best Western Booster Club Classic.

Washburn trailed early and were never quite able to gain its footing as Highland widened the gap after posting 11 steals. Eric Harms led the Ichabods with 16 points and was followed by Paul Muzzy with a 15 point contribution. Washburn went 24 of 27 from the free throw line.

Up next, the Ichabods will head home to Lee Arena to host the Ottawa University JV team at 6 p.m. on Nov. 7
