GREAT BEND, Kan. – The Washburn women's junior varsity basketball team was outlasted 84-45 by Iowa Western Community College in its final game at the Best Western Booster Club Classic.

Washburn fell into a hole early and was unable to overcome 11-20 three-point shooting by Iowa Western eventually droppings to 0-3 on the season. The Ichabods were led by Hayley Thompson with 14 points and 8 rebounds which Sydney Paialii followed up with 13 points of her own.

Up next, Washburn will head home to Lee Arena where it will host Kansas City Kansas Community College on Nov. 8 at 6 p.m.
