Women's Junior Varsity Basketball

Women's JV basketball picks up their first road win

Box Score FORT SCOTT, Kan. -- Washburn women's JV picked up their first road win this season. The Ichabods defeated Fort Scott Community College 71-61 on Thurs., Nov. 21. Washburn is now 3-4 so far this season. 

Washburn Leaders
  • Daphne Williams was the leading scoring for the Ichabods with 21 points. Williams snatched seven rebounds for the team as well. 
  • Taylor Carpenter led Washburn in steals with seven and had one block as well.
  • Hannah Willey dished out five assists and collected eight rebounds. Willey added 15 points for the team as well. 
  • Kenya Medlock scored 19 points and three rebounds for the team. 
  • Washburn out rebounded the Greyhounds 43-41.
  • The Ichabods had a season high of 15 steals against Fort Scott. 
Washburn women's JV will continue the road portion of their schedule by traveling to Parsons, Kan. on Mon., Nov. 25 to take on the Cardinals of Labbette Community College. The game will start at 5:30 p.m.
