TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team opened day on of its two-day open with seven personal bests and seven top-five finishes. The final day will start at 9 a.m. at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility.
After the first four events of the heptathlon, Pau Borillo-Febrer is in second and
Logan Stock sits in fourth. In the first event, Borillo-Febrer finished ninth in the 60m dash in a time of 7.45 and Stock was 10
th with a time of 7.47. Borillo-Febrer won the long jump with a personal best of 6.94m (22-09.25). Stock was third with a mark of 6.64m (21-09.50). In the shot put, Stock tied for third with a personal best throw of 11.64m (38-02.25) and Borillo-Febrer was fourth at 11.62m (38-01.25). Borillo-Febrer recorded his second PR of the day in the high jump with a mark of 1.91m, tying for second place and Stock was fifth at 1.82m. The final three events will start on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Kyler Kaniper was third in the open high jump with a personal best of 1.80m (5-10.75) and
Sam Stranathan finished third in the weight throw at 16.40m (53-09.75).
Braden Rose was fourth in the weight throw at 16.00m (52-06.00).
