TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team put up 12 personal bests, four NCAA provisional marks and a school record at the Ichabod Mid-Week Challenge on Thursday at the Indoor Athletic Facility. Washburn will be back in action with a full day of events on Saturday in the Jason's Deli Ichabod Invitational starting at 11 a.m.
Eric Patterson, Jr. set a school record in the 200m in a time of 21.97 setting a personal best en route to a ninth-place finish.
Romain Henry was second in the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.13 with an NCAA provisional mark.
Zac Chandler was fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.87m (15-11.75) with an NCAA provisional mark.
The Ichabods went 2-3 in the long jump with a pair of NCAA provisional marks with
Connor Last hitting 7.38m (24-02.5) and
Josh Hopkins picking up a personal best with a jump of 7.29m (23-11.00).
Justice Akinmoladun was fourth in the shot put with a mark of 14.72m (48-03.50).
