Ichabod track and field team finishes 8th at MIAA Indoor Championships

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabods wrapped up the final day of the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships by finishing in eighth with 32.5 total points. The eighth-place finish ties the Ichabods' best showing in the event from the 2018 indoor season. The Ichabods will now wait for the final NCAA Indoor Championship invitations go out to see who will compete March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kan.
 
Romain Henry placed fourth in the 60m hurdles with an NCAA provisional mark of 8.07 gaining five team points in his fastest time of the season.
 
In the shot put, Justice Akinmoladun finished eighth with a personal best mark of 16.37m (53-08.50) gaining the Ichabods one team point.
 
The 4x400m relay team of Eric Patterson, Jr., Hunter Hess, Wyatt Heiman and Romain Henry set a school record in the event with a time of 3:21.70 finishing 10th overall.
