BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod women's golf wrapped up its first event in program history finishing 13th at the Central Regional Preview at Adams Pointe Golf Club. Washburn will return to action next week at the Northeastern State Women's Classic Sept. 9-10 in Muskogee, Okla.
Susana Granados Carrion led the Ichabods recording a top-10 finish tying for 10th overall with a second-round score of 74 to finish with a two-day total of 4-over 148 with two birdies in her final day on the course.
Keira Ronsick tied for 39th with a two-day total 11-over score of 155 after a second-round of 79 for a 7-over scorecard on day two.
Aliyah North improved six strokes from her opening round score with a 4-over par 76 on day two to finish in a tie for 55th overall with a 36-hole score of 158 finishing 14-over.
Allie Sullivan finished in a tie for 75th with a score of 8-over, 80 in her second round shedding three shots of her first round total en route to a two-day score of 163 (19-over).
Raegan Petersen also finished in a tie for 75th after a second-round score of 11-over 83 also wrapping up the event with a 19-over score of 163.
Playing as an individual,
Lois Deeter knocked two shots off her first round score with an 13-over 85 to finish in a tie for 85th overall with a score of 172 for the 36-hole tournament.
Washburn had a two-day team score of +45 after rounds of 24-over and 21-over in the second round improving three shots overall placing 13th overall with a team score of 621. Augustana (S.D.) won the event with a team score of 16-over after back-to-back rounds of 8-over for a team score of 592. The individual winner was Felisa Sajulga from Henderson State shooting an even-par score of 144.
