PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team finished off its only regular season road meet at the Rumble In the Jungle hosted by Pittsburg State on Friday coming back with 10 NCAA provisional marks, two event champions and eight top-five finishes. The Ichabods will be back in action Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at the Washburn Open in Topeka.
Jordan Dale won the high jump with a mark of 2.11m (6-11.00) leading the Ichabods as Washburn took the top three spots.
Alessandro Di Gregorio finished second with a height of 2.05m (6-08.75) and
Matthew Heckman was third at 1.99m (6-06.25). Dale's and Di Gregorio's marks were both NCAA provisional marks. DiGregorio also finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.93m (45-08.00).
Tre Richardson won the long jump with a personal best mark of 7.31m (23-11.75) for an NCAA provisional mark for an NCAA provisional mark and Richardson finished third in the 60m tying the school record with a time of 6.73 in the finals after placing fifth in the preliminaries in a time of 6.82.
Ezekiel Seamster was sixth in the both the prelims and the finals in times of 6.84 and 6.78 for an NCAA provisional mark. The 200 meters dash saw Seamster come through with a strong second-place finish at 21.43, hitting another NCAA provisional time.
Jaden Magana took third in the weight throw with a mark of 18.21 (59-08.00) for an NCAA provisional mark.
