IN THE RANKINGS
After the first four weeks on outdoor track, the Ichabods have the No. 7-ranked men's high jump squad in the D2 ranks and the No. 10-ranked pole vault unit. On the women's side, the Ichabod long jump squad is ranked fifth overall with the 100m group ranked sixth.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE ICHABODS
WOMEN-EMPORIA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team delivered a strong all-around performance at the ESU Relays, highlighted by event victories, NCAA provisional qualifying marks and a wave of personal records on Thursday at Emporia State.
The Ichabods opened the meet with solid sprint efforts in the 100m.
Layla Lerus placed fourth in 11.96, while
Kamdyn Wedel finished fifth with a personal-best 12.01.
Kynleigh Chard added a personal record of her own, finishing 17th in 12.47.
In the 200m,
Lyric Reid placed 14th with a time of 25.19.
Andria Williams recorded a personal-best 25.69 to place 24th.
Kereser Augustin, finished fourth in the 400m in a time of 55.39 to earn an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Isabella Garcia followed in 10th (57.23), while Williams (1:00.01) and
Natalie Hillebert (1:00.63) both posted personal-best times.
Jordyn Cleary placed second in the 800m with a personal-best 2:18.48.
Mya Kafka finished seventh (2:24.74) and
Riley Ammons added a personal record at 2:35.00.
Cleary returned to the track in the 1,500m and claimed the event title, winning in a personal-best 4:39.81. Collins followed closely with a third-place finish in 4:43.84, also a personal record.
Jolie Evans placed sixth (4:49.19),
Riley Britton finished seventh with a PR of 4:50.47 and
Grace Hovey rounded out the group with a personal-best time of 5:10.09.
In the hurdles, Chard recorded a personal-best 15.35 to place 20th in the 100-meter hurdles. Addison Webster finished 27th in 16.06.
Ashley Heavner took 12th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.07.
The Washburn 4x100-meter relay team of Reid,
Maya Pattison,
Mellanie Neudinger and
Ta'Mijha Nichols placed third in 46.37, earning an NCAA provisional mark.
Distance runners continued the momentum in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, where
Ebba Wetterberg captured first place in 11:43.03. Ammons placed fourth (12:19.89) and
Cheyenne Hittle finished fifth (12:24.17).
In field events,
Molly Worley led the high jump group with a fourth-place finish after clearing 1.57m (5-01.75).
Shaydin Myers and
Roni Simeon each cleared 1.52m (4-11.75) to place eighth and 10th, respectively.
Reagan Housley placed third in the pole vault, clearing 3.72m (12-02.50).

MEN-EMPORIA, Kan. - The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team delivered a series of standout performances across the track and in the field at the ESU Relays, highlighted by multiple event titles, NCAA provisional marks, school records, and personal bests.
The Ichabod performance of the day belonged to
Justin Forde in the triple jump. Forde won the event with a massive personal-best leap of 16.43 meters (53-11.00), breaking the school record by 10 inches and recording the No. 1 mark in the nation this season.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Jake Muller captured the event title with a winning time of 52.81, earning an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
A major highlight of the meet came in the 400 meters, where
Bryce Cochran topped the Washburn school record with a personal-best 48.42, placing ninth overall.
The sprint group was led by
Ja'Laveyn January, who finished 11th in the 100 meters with a time of 10.57, pacing a deep field for the Hornets.
John Mark Bishop followed closely in 14th (10.66), while
Javier Lopez placed 19th (10.78).
Crayton Rauch recorded a personal-best 10.92, finishing 23rd.
In the 200 meters, Lopez doubled back to earn a 13th-place finish in 22.09, leading a group that included Ogbonna (18th, 22.45) and Shadid (19th, 22.67).
Grady Buessing earned a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters, crossing the line in 1:54.79. Personal records were posted by
Logan Montgomery (2:02.63),
Seth Motes (2:03.91),
Ryan Rochford (2:03.80), and
Landon Stuke (2:12.28).
In the 1,500 meters,
Kyle Wagoner recorded a fourth-place finish with a time of 4:05.66, while
Gunner Wagner placed 13th (4:16.35).
Cadan Gustavo posted a personal-best 15.46 in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing 11th.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Cochran, Groh, Rauch, and Muller combined for a fifth-place finish in 3:19.41, closing out the meet on the track.
In the field,
Matthew Heckman led the way in the high jump, placing third after clearing 1.99 meters (6-6.25).
Aaron Newcomer followed in eighth at 1.94 meters (6-4.25).
The pole vault group was led by
Logan Schwab, who placed third with a personal-best 5.07 meters (16-7.50), achieving an NCAA provisional mark.
Adam Wooldridge and
Eli Strawn tied for 11th at 4.62 meters (15-1.75).
In the hammer throw,
Colin Heatherman placed seventh with a throw of 50.84 meters (166-9).
