Ichabods take 3rd at Washburn All-Kansas Invite

TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team finished third at the Washburn All-Kansas Invite on Saturday at the Indoor Athletic Facility. Washburn will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, Feb 28-29 hosting the Washburn Open.
 
Romain Henry led the Ichabods with his third individual win in three events in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.15 recording an NCAA provisional mark in the process. Pau Borillo-Febrer set a personal best in the same event in a time of  8.45.
 
Josh Hopkins finished second in the long jump with a mark of 7.00m (22-11.75).
 
Tom Haug took third in the high jump at 2.00m (6-06.75) and Jacob Herr finished third in the 400m at 50.45. Braden Rose also picked up a third-place finish in the weight throw at 17.51m.
 
Collen McLain set a personal best in the 800m with a fourth-place mark at 1:56.65 and Zach Chandler was fourth in the pole vault at 4.70m (15-05.00)
 
Wichita State won the Invitational with 141 points followed by Cloud County with 99 points. Washburn finished in third with 81 points edging Fort Hays State who gained 79.
