JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team sits in seventh place at the conclusion of day two of the 2023 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Lincoln. The Ichabods have 18 points so far entering Sunday and the final day of competition.

The Washburn Ichabods placed two in the 100m finals on Sunday as Ja'Laveyn January finished sixth and Wyatt Heiman was eighth. January's time was in a school record 10.39 topping the previous record of 10.44 and Heiman was at 10.50. Both times were NCAA provisional marks. Heiman also advanced to Sunday's final in the 200m by finishing eighth in a personal best time of 21.30.

David Kibet earned all-MIAA honors by placing third in the 10,000m in a time of 30:32.75 gaining six team points for the Ichabods. It was the third team he picked up all-MIAA honors as an Ichabod with the other two coming during the cross country season.

Keetan Munsell picked up four points in the 3000m steeplechase after finishing fifth in a time of 9:19.39 – just off the school record time of 9:19.17.

In the hammer, Braden Rose was fifth in the event earning four points with an NCAA provisional mark of 59.48m (195-02) and Jaden Magana was eighth with a personal best of 56.79m (186-04) earning one team point.

MacKobe had a personal best in the pole vault finishing seventh gaining two team points with a height of 4.66m (15-03.50).

Connor Last was tied for seventh in the long jump with a mark of 7.25m (23-09.00) and picked up 1.5 points.
