TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team set 23 personal bests with three individual titles and five NCAA provisional marks at the Ichabod Invitational on Saturday in the home finale at the Indoor Athletic Facility. The Ichabods will be back in action at the MIAA Indoor Championships in two week hosted by Northwest Missouri.
Braden Rose won the weight throw with an NCAA mark of 18.61m (61-00.75) setting a PR and the second-best throw in program history. Rose followed that up with a sixth-place finish with a personal best in the shot put of 15.31m (50-02.75).
Connor Last took first place in the long jump with an NCAA provisional mark with a jump of 7.41m (24-03.75) and
Josh Hopkins was second with a mark of 7.16m (23-06.00) also recording an NCAA provisional mark.
Eric Patterson, Jr., finished second in the 200m in a time of 22.14 and was fourth in the 60m with a time of 7.05.
Jacob Herr placed second in the 600-yard with a personal best of 1:14.93.
Romain Henry was second in the 60m hurdles with an NCAA provisional time of 8.13 after running a time of 8.15 in the preliminaries.
