Ichabods 4th entering final day; Last wins long jump title

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Washburn's Connor Last won the individual title in the long jump highlighting day two of the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Northwest Missouri as the Ichabods are fourth entering the final day on Sunday with 26.5 points.
 
Last earned the Ichabods 10 points in the event with an NCAA provisional mark of 7.51m (24-07.75) to become the fourth individual medalist in program history earning First Team All-MIAA honors. Also earning points in the long jump was Josh Hopkins who finished fourth picking up five team points with a personal best and an NCAA provisional mark of 7.74m (24-06.25).
 
Logan Stock wrapped up the heptathlon with a fourth-place finish gaining five team points tallying 5,158 points. He was third in the 60m hurdles, eighth in the pole vault and seventh in the 1000m run.
 
Tom Haugh was sixth in the high jump earning 2.5 team points with a mark of 1.97m (6-05.50)
 
Braden Rose was seventh in the weight throw with a personal best and an NCAA provisional mark of 18.67m (61-03.00) gaining two team points for the Ichabods.
 
The distance medley team of Gabriel Chinya, Hunter Hess, Collen McLain and Nathan Gray finished seventh breaking the school record in a time of 10:13.39 picking up two team points.
 
Romain Henry finished fifth in the 60m hurdles in qualifying in a time of 8.23 earning an NCAA provisional mark.
