ABOUT THE OLD GLORY GALLOP
DBU's Old Glory Gallop is a wonderful mix of Texas, Patriotism, and Cross Country. This multi-regional meet is an opportunity for collegiate cross-country teams to compete among a group of regionally diverse teams and enjoy the great things of Texas! Teams and spectators can experience photos with 1,500-pound longhorns, cowboys leading off the race on horseback, lasso tricks, great food and beverages, country music, and custom branded gear. Last but not least, student-athletes and teams have the opportunity to win custom awards if they place first at the meet.
Individual student-athletes have the chance to win a custom "cowboy crown" to ensure everyone knows they had the fastest time at The Old Glory Gallop.
