KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod men's and women's track and field team placed 60 student-athletes on the MIAA Academic Award listing for winter sports announced on Monday by the MIAA. The Ichabods also had six student-athletes with a 4.0 grade point average for the MIAA Academic Excellence listing and five more who were named to the Scholar Athlete list after recording at least a 3.5 grade point average while earning all-MIAA honors finishing in the top three at the conference championship.

Overall, 468 indoor track and field student-athletes (231 men, 237 women) were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

These 2025-26 indoor track and field academic awards do not include first-year student-athletes or first-year transfers. The MIAA will release separate academic awards for its 2025-26 newcomers in June, once the student-athletes have completed at least two terms of attendance at the certifying MIAA member institution.
