Harley Barnett - Football (1929-1932)
Harley Barnett started his football career at Washburn in 1929. He helped guide the Ichabods to a second place conference play that year under Coach Bearg. Then in 1931 he led the Ichabods to conference champs. In 1932, Barney was voted captain of the Kansas All-Star team and also voted Washburn’s Most Popular Man. He graduated in 1932.

Upon graduation, Barney served as the University assistant football and basketball coach until he resigned in 1938. He was inducted into Washburn's Hall of Fame in 1983.
